Geek Chic Power

I was told today that I am geek chic. If I didn’t call myself a geek 10 times a post on my blog here, I might have been offended. As it were – I’ve decided to embrace my geeky chic and feminist kick-fanny approach to life from here on out. Which is why I’m leaving you with this ultimate in geek chic videos (Thank you T – geek chic soul sister):

  1. I've gotta say, this was cute and funny. I may ever show this in class if I teach Wuthering Heights instead of Emma. I'm seriously considering it.

  2. That made me laugh out loud. Well done! Just passed the link on to my literal (and literary) sisters.

  3. Wish I had that 'feminist vision' for those times when my evil-eyebrow glare just doesn't cut it. =D

  4. Mara, are you seriously thinking about teaching Wuthering Heights instead of Emma; or have you already come to the that decision and now you are only seriously thinking about showing The Bronte Sisters Power Dolls clip in class?

If it's the first then I'm not sure how I feel about that...students like darker stuff now, don't they? Emma is so light and fun and mockingly (as Austen does best) sickeningly sweet. Wuthering Heights is so in your face - hence the video above. Alright, I see your dilemma.
